The Presentation evening took place on Friday 18th November at the Wareham Scout & Guides hut. Representatives from all of this years nominated charities/organisations were invited to attend, along with the winners from each of the exhibitors sections.
The evening began with a welcome speech from Purbeck Rally’s Chairman Richard Holland, who briefly summarised this years rally, thanked everyone for their attendance & thanks to everyone who helped with the staging of the Purbeck Rally. Richard then asked Wareham’s Town Crier Jacquie Hall to join him in presenting the donation cheques. In turn each of the charities/organisations were invited to the front of the hall & outlined the services they provide to the community & how the donations would assist with the continuation of their activities. Each of the representatives were given a warm welcome & after receiving their cheques a round of applause from the audience.
As with last year the Presentation evening coincided with BBC Children in Need, therefore a raffle was held, with the prizes having been donated. All monies raised from the raffle & the collection bucket which was circulated around the hall were given to help support their cause.
With the presentations complete everyone was invited to share in the buffet, which was kindly supplied by Brett & Glenda. Tea & coffee was also available & everyone had an opportunity to mingle before the evening came to a close.
