PURBECK RALLY

       2010 roundup

Despite the awful weather conditions for the whole weekend we had a fantastic turn out of exhibitors, who braved the weather to take their vehicles around the arena. The public attendance wasn't what was hoped for but was still good considering the conditions.

The aim of the rally is for like minded people to get together for an enjoyable weekend and generate money for charity and we are very pleased to announce that this year we are managing to give over £1000 to various local charities, including Heroes Haven in Swanage, Healing Hooves ponies, Dorset Freewheelers and the Wareham Sunshine club .

Also During the Rally a donation was made to KERV, and the Adams Axemen very kindly asked that the fee for their display was given straight to the Amy Adams trust. A donation was also made to the Wessex bird of prey rescue who brought along some birds and even managed to fly a few in the arena.

Various Charities had stalls at this years show, including Help for heroes, Healing Hooves ponies, and the Akita dog Welfare trust, all of whom were very pleased with the response and generosity of the public.

None of this would be possible without the exhibitors and the generous help and support of all our sponsors and suppliers.
