The Purbeck Rally has gained
a reputation for being the friendly rally with the friendliest marshals
and the least formality of any other show in the area.
A wide range of exhibits are
on display over the three day duration. Vintage cars, motor cycles, trucks
and a large display of military vehicles and equipment plus miniature
steam engines and many types of working engines.
There will be collections of
bygones and craft for you to see and the collectors will be glad to talk
to you about what they have on display.
In the trade area there will be many
stalls selling everything from boat trailers to knitting needles. Autojumblers come from all over the country to sell at Purbeck Rally so
you have a good chance of finding the piece you want for your vintage or
classic vehicle.
This year the catering and bar
facilities have been totally reorganised. We have established a
catering village with an extremely large marquee. Caterers will serve
directly into the marquee, which will be laid out with ample tables and
chairs. The bar will also be in the marquee and will have an good
selection of wines & spirits and beers, including real ales. There will be
music in the marquee on Friday and Saturday evenings. During the day we
shall be entertained by 'The Original Plonkers Agricultural Orchestra' and
'The Dolphin Marching Band'. On Saturday morning there is an auction of
bygones, and on Sunday morning there is a boot sale.
You are assured of good food, good
company and plenty to do and see.
