Purbeck Rally – a show with something for all the family!
Over
the years Purbeck Rally has gained a reputation for being the friendliest
rally in the area, and this year’s volunteer committee have been working
hard behind the scenes to create a great show for the rally goers, both
visitors and exhibitors.
This year you will be
able to see
Wessex
Bird of Prey Rescue in the arena giving a flying display using a
selection of Falcons, Hawks, Buzzards and Owls on
all three days of the show. You will be able to see the
birds and talk
to the rescue centres volunteers at their static display.

The Adams Axe Man are the countries best known lumberjack display
team and will be performing their high energy show in the main arena
on Saturday. Come and see Reg and the boys demonstrating
their amazing skills with axes and cross cut saw.
The Adams Axe men were founded in 1966 as the New Forest Axe men,
making them the longest running lumberjack display team in
Great-Britain. Members of the Adams Axe men have competed around the
world, including Australia, New Zealand, America, Canada and Europe.

On Sunday the Tigers Motorcycle Display team will be in
action in the arena with an exciting show combining carefully
choreographed manoeuvres using jumps and ramps to thrill all ages.

A wide range of exhibits are
on display over the three day duration. Vintage & Classic cars, motor
cycles, trucks and a display of military vehicles and equipment, and many
types stationary engines.
There will be collections of
bygones where the collectors will be glad to talk to you about what they
have on display. New this year we will have a Rural and Old time area
where you will be able to see displays and demonstrations of a range of
rural and country crafts and machinery. Not forgetting a craft marquee.
In the trade area
there will be many stalls selling everything from boat trailers to
knitting needles. Autojumblers come from far and wide to buy and sell at
Purbeck Rally, so you never know what you may find in the stalls area.
When you are feeling weary
you will find refreshment at the beer tent and something tasty from the
caterers. There will of course be amusements for the kids and ice creams.
If you are an early bird you
may well get the bargain of the day on Sunday at our popular Car
Boot Sale – sellers from 7 am and buyers 8.30. (No buyers admission
fee)

The Margaret Green Animal
Rescue will be holding a Family Dog Show on Sunday so bring your family
dog and have a go. For
